As much as I love my dresses and skirts, sometimes the fickle spring weather calls for something a little warmer. That’s when I reach for my cardigans! I love the versatility of a cardigan. You can button it all the way up when it’s a little chilly or unbutton it and wear it over a cami when the weather is warmer. And these cozy cardigans also work great for WFH (working from home).

Cardigans for Spring

Rouje Cardigans

I was inspired by Rouje – one of my favorite French brands. They have a collection of cardigans and sweaters that just look so cute – even in the spring! I love how this chunky cardigan is tied and paired with a skirt. Rouje recently released a new Spring collection full of cute chunky, cropped cardigans in pastel colors.

Sézane Cardiangs

One of my other favorite French brands is Sézane and they always have a beautiful collection of sweaters and cardigans. Their pieces are a little pricey as well but they are made from quality materials and Sézane is making steps towards more sustainable practices and ethical production which I think makes the price tag worth it. This cardigan sweater isn’t as chunky or textured as the one I’m wearing but it’s a similar light pink/nude color that’s just gorgeous!

More Affordable Cardigan Sweaters

I love the Rouje and Sézane cardigans but they are a little pricey. So I decided to look for a Rouje cardigan dupe and I found this one from J.Crew! It’s got that chunkier, open knit style with the large front buttons but at a fraction of the price. I actually got this sweater for about $40 because I bought it secondhand! It just goes to show that you can dress like a Parisian but you don’t have to pay the large price tag!

My other go-to places to look for sweaters and cardigans are Everlane, & Other Stories, and Madewell. I really love the Everlane Alpaca Cardigan and the Everlane Chunky Cropped Cardigan. However, it looks like a lot of sizes are sold out at the moment. & Other Stories always has a collection of statement cardigans like this Wool Blend Cardigan and Cardigan with Dinosaur Buttons!

How To Style Chunky Cardigans

For this outfit I decided to wear it buttoned up with a pair of jeans. These are my 90’s Cheeky Jean from Everlane that I absolutely love! I went matchy-matchy with the shoes that are also in a light pink color, but threw in a mustard color scarf to spice things up a bit. I’m also looking forward to wearing the cardigan open with my tees and skirts! And I love the idea of tucking it into a pair of high waisted pants.

  1. Such a pretty and classy cardigan, would feel so nice in a day like today, cold but still not forgetting it’s spring (even though it was raining a bit so I’d still have to wear a trenchcoat over it). I love cardigans, they’re always so handy and I really need to stock up on a few.
