Christy Dawn Spring Dresses Review

I love Christy Dawn in general but their recent Spring Dress Collection had me swooning! I felt like I wanted all the dresses! I ended up buying two – the Natasha Dress and the Emma Dress. I’ll be styling and reviewing the Christy Dawn Spring Dresses below!

Christy Dawn Natasha Dress Review

The Natasha Dress

My Measurements: 33-28-38, 30D, 5’7″, 125lbs

The Natasha Dress is the first one that I bought because I loved the print and the style. I believe this is a new silhouette from Christy Dawn and I’m loving it! I hope they continue to make this dress in more colorways. A smocked bodice is always great because it stretches to fit. But the Natasha Dress has the extra details of an under bust tie and a waist tie. As someone with a small ribcage, the ties allow me to adjust the dress for a perfect fit. The spaghetti straps are ALSO adjustable which is something I need on my dresses as well. I’m wearing the size small and I find it fits true to size and I don’t have to do that much adjusting to get the fit I want.

Christy Dawn Emma Dress

I actually already have an Emma Dress from last summer but I felt like the print wasn’t as flattering on me. So I ordered the Emma Dress again in the Essence Cream print. The Emma Dress is one of my favorite Christy Dawn styles because it’s flattering and easy to wear. I found myself reaching for it a lot last summer!

Christy Dawn Emma Dress Review

I really love the ruffle sweetheart neckline with the adjustable tie – it’s so pretty! The bodice is fitted but there is a smocked back panel that allows for some stretch. On the website it mentions that the bodice runs narrow and I would agree with that. I have a small ribcage though so the size small is the perfect fit for me. But if you are between a size small and medium in the bust area I would take your larger size. There is no zipper on this dress so you will need to pull it over your head.

This dress is actually in the same print as the Natasha dress – just in a cream colorway instead of blue! I was a little hesitant to get the same print on both dresses but I actually think they look different enough that you don’t notice.

How to Style Christy Dawn Dresses for Spring

As you can see, I love pairing my Christy Dawn Dresses with a sweater, woven flats, and a basket bag for spring! Both of these dresses have little red, blue, and yellow flowers so it makes it easy to add similar colors to my layers and accessories. For my Natasha Dress I threw my red Sézane sweater over my shoulders because it was a bit warmer out. My red Freda Salvador flats happened to be the perfect match.

Look 1: Sézane Otto Sweater || Natasha Dress || Sézane Justine Bag || Freda Salvador JADA Flats in Crimson – 15% off code ’15JESSICA’ || Look 2: Sézane Gaspard Sweater || Emma Dress || Sézane Justine Bag || Freda Salvador JADA flats in Latte – 15% off code ’15JESSICA’

With my Emma Dress I added a Sézane cardigan in a pretty sage color that perfectly compliments the colors in the dress. I swapped my red Freda flats for the ‘latte’ shade. I added my Sézane Justine straw bag to both outfits because it’s literally the perfect spring/summer bag. It also has enough space to hold my sweater in case I get too hot.

New Ways to Get Discounts at Christy Dawn

ThredUp X Christy Dawn

Now there are even more ways to get discounts at Christy Dawn! In my comprehensive Christy Dawn Dress Review I mentioned that you can sell your used clothes on ThredUp and cash out your earnings for a Christy Dawn gift card with a 15% bonus. NOW Christy Dawn is offering an extra promo code for $25 credit on your next order of $200+! This is in addition to the credit you’ll earn from the clothes you send in to ThredUp once they sell. Be sure to get your ThredUp kit from Christy Dawn’s website so that you’ll get the $25 credit.

Christy Dawn Resale Marketplace

Christy Dawn also has a marketplace to buy or sell pre-loved Christy Dawn pieces easily. So if you have a Christy Dawn dress that you no longer wear you can sell it on their platform and either get 70% of the resale value in cash once it sells OR 100% of the resale value if you chose store credit. P.S. if you want to find Christy Dawn pieces at a great price you can also buy from the marketplace!

Christy Dawn 15% off discount code

The good news is, you can use my 15% off discount code (15JESSICAW) alongside the credit from ThredUp and/or the credit from selling on their marketplace! I actually did this recently and was able to order a new Christy Dawn dress with a major discount. I sold two of my old Christy Dawn dresses and got $240 in credit. Plus the $25 bonus credit I got from sending in a Christy Dawn ThredUp kit. Plus the additional savings from my discount code! It equalled about $300 in savings. I don’t know how long the ThredUp bonus and resale marketplace are going to be available so take advantage of it now!

Christy Dawn Rewards Program + Refer a Friend

Christy Dawn also has a FREE rewards program where you can earn points for dollars off your purchase. I definitely take advantage of this too. However, you can’t use the rewards discount along with my personal discount code. And I’ve found that my discount code usually results in a higher discount.

If you have a friend who also wants to buy a Christy Dawn item you can refer-a-friend and both get $50 in rewards points off your purchase. FYI – since these are rewards points I don’t think they will work with my discount code.
