Lidia Blouse

The Lidia Blouse is from the most recent Spring Chapter II drop, which is made up of light stripes, cute florals, plaids, and delicate embroidery. You can see some of those details in this blouse, with the daisy-motif eyelet on the yoke and ladder trim along the button placket. The vintage-inspired floral print is so cute and feels like summer with its pink-and-orange color palette.

I took my usual size small in the Lidia Blouse, and I think it runs true to size. I would pay more attention to the bust measurement since the body itself is very loose. My waist and hip measurements are closer to a size medium, but my chest is still a size small, and it still fits. The Lidia Blouse is also made from 100% regenerative cotton, which is really soft and light. It’s the perfect breezy top for warmer weather.

Felipa Tunic

The Felipa Tunic is a 100% organic cotton top with daisy eyelet embroidery. Again, it’s the details that make this top special. The sleeve and hem have crochet lace embroidery, and the neck has scalloped edging. I also love the side slits, elbow-length sleeves, and keyhole opening at the back. Since there is no lining, the Felipa Tunic is pretty breezy with the open embroidery! That also makes it a bit see-through, but as long as you wear a nude bra, I don’t think it will be noticeable.

I really appreciate that this top is 100% cotton and not mixed with synthetics. You know, I’m a big fan of Sézane’s lace and embroidered pieces, but a lot of the time their tops are mixed with polyamide or polyester – like this top, for example.

I’m wearing my usual size small, and I believe it runs true to size. However, I found the arms and underarms to be slightly tighter, so if you have a larger chest, you might want to consider sizing up. Additionally, I think this top would make a cute swimsuit cover-up! If you plan to wear it as a cover-up, I would recommend going up one or two sizes.

Ghita Blouse

The Ghita Blouse is an oversized, flowy top made from 100% organic cotton, with a scalloped lace trim on the collar, and buttons down the front. It kind of reminds me of a feminine pirate top – but in a good way! I received the Ghita Blouse in Pearl last year, and since then, they’ve added two prints! I especially like the Midnight Picnic print. And each Ghita Blouse does have a matching skirt!

I’m wearing my usual size small, and it definitely is oversized. I could have sized down, but I didn’t want to lose any length in the sleeves, since I have long arms. This top is meant to be oversized and voluminous, so I would still recommend taking your usual size. This top is also slightly sheer, but wearing a nude bra helps with that.

I think the Ghita Blouse is pretty versatile – especially if you want to pair it with other Christy Dawn bottoms. You can pair it with the new Martin Pants, Gabrielle Skirt, or Cassia Shorts. I’m wearing the Ghita Blouse below with another skirt from Christy Dawn, which isn’t available right now. I also love layering the Ghita Blouse under sweaters or a vest, as shown in the photo above.

I do want to mention that the color “Pearl” is cream with a slight pinkish hue. It looks like it’s a white or off-white shade on the website, but it’s not. If you are looking for a whiter top, you’ll want to go with the “Alabaster” shade, which is what the Felipa Tunic is.
