Sezane’s fall collection dropped at the end of August, and it got me SO excited for fall fashion! However, it’s still freakin’ hot outside! Even though I really wanted to buy all the fall sweaters and coats, I decided to go for pieces that can take me from summer to early fall to fall. So I thought I’d share casual early fall outfit ideas from Sezane to get you through the end of summer into cooler weather.

The Bruce Trousers have been around for a while, but I just recently discovered them! In my quest for comfortable, stretchy pants, I realized that the Bruce Trousers would be perfect. They feature an elastic waistband WITH an adjustable waist tie, so they are very comfortable and stretchy. Another detail that I like is the stitched pleats on the front. This ensures the pants always have a crisp look (I hate having to iron pleats back into my trousers!).

The fabric is a lightweight wool blend that doesn’t make me overheat on warmer fall days. There is a lining, but it stops around the calf—either Sezane is trying to save money or make it easier to hem…haha. You most likely will need to hem these because they are LONG. I don’t have mine hemmed in the photos, and they definitely pool at my feet and drag on the ground.

How to Style the Bruce Trousers from Sezane

I style the Bruce Trousers casually with a slightly cropped tee and sneakers. When the weather cools down, I’ll pair the trousers with a cropped sweater, sweatshirt, or hooded sweater. You can also switch out the sneakers for a pair of loafers or tall booties.

I have several Sezane sweatshirts, but this new Cafe de Paris Sweatshirt is my favorite! It’s longer and more oversized than Sezane’s iconic sweatshirts, which is what I’ve been looking for. The green stripes remind me of a rugby-style shirt and give it the perfect sporty vibe. I also love that the ‘Cafe de Paris’ is embroidered onto the sweatshirt instead of just printed.

I usually take a medium in Sezane’s sweatshirts because I like a relaxed fit. I still took a medium in the Cafe de Paris sweatshirt – even though it says you can take your smaller size.

How to Style Sezane Sweatshirts

The perfect complement to this oversized sweatshirt is a Max shirt! I have several Max shirts, and they are great for layering. The Max shirt that I’m wearing is a cotton/linen mix, so it’s lightweight and perfect for warmer early fall days. And if you’re still a little too warm, you can throw the sweatshirt over your shoulders.

For this casual, early fall outfit, I paired the sweatshirt with long dark-washed shorts and slingback loafers. I prefer a darker wash in jeans for fall. Light-wash or distressed denim seems a little more relaxed and “summery” to me. Instead of pairing the shorts with sandals, I chose loafers. These loafers are especially perfect for transitioning into fall because they have a slingback heel. The lug sole also gives these loafers a sportier vibe.

Sezane Max Shirt + Gary Bag Review

This is just a quick shout-out to the flannel Max Shirt that I picked up! I have several Max Shirts, but when I saw this plaid flannel version, I had to get one for fall. It’s definitely oversized in the body, but I prefer not to size down because the sleeves are on the shorter side. I’m wearing size 6, which is my usual size in Sezane.

The star of this outfit is definitely the suede Gary Bag. This is a new style from Sezane and it’s available in the Maxi size (seen above) and a regular size. I loved the look of the chocolate suede on the Maxi size so I went with the larger size. I also wanted to fit my laptop in the bag. Luckily, there is enough room to fit my 13″ macbook air. It’s not a totally comfortable fit because of the circular bottom, but it goes all the way in. The strap is slightly adjustable and I have it on the longest length. It’s not long enough to be a crossbody bag, but it is a comfortable length for over the shoulder.
