This is what happens when I feel like I have nothing to wear: I start breaking rules.  I’ve said before that when wearing a denim on denim look you shouldn’t wear similar washes.  Go for a dark wash and a light wash to break things up.  Well, I decided to wear two light washes.  I don’t know why. Maybe the heat is getting to me.  But you know what? I kind of like it! I wore my polka dot chambray for some interest and hoped the bright lips and big glasses would distract you from my Texas tuxedo!
I hope everyone is having a nice Labor Day weekend! I did a little shopping and got to hang out with my hubby who I don’t get to see during the week!
I’m also wondering if there are any specific posts you would like to see on Jeans and a Teacup. I usually do outfit posts 3 days a week which is really the most I can do since my photographer (aka, my husband) works long hours during the week and can’t always take my pics.  But I’d like to mix it up with some other fashion/beauty related posts.  I have some ideas in mind but wanted to know what kinds of posts were your favorite!

Also, make sure you enter the giveaway for a really cool handmade necklace from Polka Dot Square Design made from REAL wine bottles! How fun is that!

  2. you look so cute in this. A year ago I would have been like CANADIAN TUXEDO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? but now I just think its chic and on trend. oh blogging, what have you done to me? 😉

  3. I love the denim on denim look. I've seen a number of people really pull it off (including you) but for whatever reason, I don't feel like I've gotten it quite right yet. I'll have to keep trying different washes to find the right combination. I have mostly stuck to a lighter chambray on top and a dark bottom, but still don't love it. Maybe I'll have to try the two shades closer together!
