An Ethical Fall Outfit ft. ABLE Tote Bag and Tradlands Dress
I’m excited to share this ethical fall outfit featuring two of my favorite fashion brands: ABLE and Tradlands. I’ve been a fan of ABLE for awhile and I’m happy to be partnering with them to show off one of their classic bags. Tradlands recently launched their new fall arrivals and it just so happens that they pair perfectly with the ABLE tote.
An Ethical Fall Outfit
I’ve been a fan of ABLE for awhile now (ever since they used to be called FashionABLE). I was especially interested in their leather bags because I thought they looked similar to Madewell bags. The difference is ABLE bags are ethically made. So when I got the opportunity to work with ABLE as an affiliate, I knew I’d want to try out one of their bags.

ABLE Selam Tote Review
The Selam Tote is a practical but chic everyday leather tote bag. It has an interior pocket and two deep exterior pockets. It’s 100% leather with an unlined interior. It comes in three colors and I chose black.
I think this is a great tote bag to carry all of your essentials – and more! The outside pockets are nice for easy access to things like your phone. And they are deep enough so I don’t feel like items will slip out. It’s definitely one of those bags that you’ll have in your closet for years that will only get better with time as it softens and develops a patina.
I love how the leather feels – it’s soft, yet sturdy. I have a Madewell Transport tote and I feel like that leather is stiffer and not as supple. The ABLE leather is semi-vegetable tanned – a combo of vegetable tanning and chrome tanning. – which gives it strength and softness. This bag will get scratches and marks but that’s all part of the process of developing a patina. After wearing this bag for awhile I’m assuming that it’s not going to look as crisp as it does now. The leather will soften, scratch, and crease. The edges of the leather are raw so they will probably fray a little bit. But I LOVE the look of a well-worn bag so I’m excited to see how it develops. Tradlands Nico 2.0 Balloon Sleeve Dress
Tradlands recently dropped new fall dresses, including the Nico Dress 2.0 with balloon sleeves in several fall shades. The sleeves are longer on this dress than the original Nico 2.0 dress but other than that they are very similar. There’s a large keyhole back closure and pockets (which are always appreciated). The material is 100% easy care cotton which has a slight texture and “lived-in” feel. It’s definitely not a crisp cotton.
I’m wearing the size small and even with the new and improved fit it still has an oversized fit. I think the size small is my true size and how it’s supposed to fit on me. But I think I should have sized down to an XS for a slightly tighter fit. I think the dress looks a little overwhelming for my small frame.
Tradlands Shelter Cotton Crew Neck Sweater
This sweater is probably my favorite Tradlands piece so far! I just can’t resist a good striped sweater. I love that it’s 100% cotton because that makes it a great sweater for early fall. The Shelter Sweater features a drop shoulder, ribbed hems, and an overall relaxed fit. I’m wearing the size small and it’s definitely oversized. Again, I think I could have taken the size XS but I do like the oversized fit for this sweater.
I’m not actually wearing the sweater in this outfit but instead chose to drape it over my shoulders. You can see this sweater style with pants in this outfit.
