A Timeless Outfit ft. the St. Roche Sissy Sweater + Sézane Milo Classic Bag

I recently got some new pieces in from two of my favorite brands – St. Roche and Sézane! The St. Roche Sissy Sweater is one of St. Roche’s signature pieces and a style they keep bringing back in different colorways. And the Sézane Milo Classic Bag is one of Sézane’s signature bags that is a year round staple. I’m excited to style these two classic pieces together in today’s outfit of the day!

St. Roche Sissy Sweater and Sézane Milo Bag Review

St. Roche Sissy Sweater Review

This is actually my second Sissy Sweater from St. Roche and I might even love it more than my first one! It’s hard to resist the classic navy and white stripes. If you are looking for a Breton sweater with some cute updates then this is the sweater for you. What makes the Sissy Sweater unique are the puff sleeves, pointelle stitch details, and high rib hem. It’s just the sweetest sweater!

Sustainably made alpaca sweater from St. Roche

The Sissy Sweater is made from an Alpaca/Polyamide/Wool blend which makes it super soft. St. Roche ethically sources their alpaca from Peru where it is Fair Trade Certified. There is a slight itch to this sweater so I do wear a light shirt underneath. I’m wearing a size small (which is my usual size) so I’d say this sweater runs true to size.

Yes, this sweater is on the pricier side but St. Roche pieces are an investment that should last for years to come. St. Roche is a slow fashion brand based out of LA that is committed to sustainability and ethical manufacturing – which is one of the reasons I like to support them.

Sézane Milo Classic Bag Review

The second addition to my classic outfit is the Sézane Milo Classic Bag. This bag is an update to their original Milo Bag. The difference being the Milo Classic has a brass clasp instead of a toggle closure. This give the bag a more classic, refined look, in my opinion. (It also makes the bag more expensive…lol). I believe the clasp is the only difference between the original Milo and the Milo Classic. But I haven’t been able to inspect the original Milo bag in person.

Sézane Milo Classic Bag Review

I do like the bag because it has enough room to fit my wallet, phone, keys, and more without feeling too stuffed. It has three sections all together – a large inner compartment and then two thinner sections in the front and back. The large compartment has a zip pocket and a patch pocket. I really love the little gold clips that separate the compartments – I think it’s a nice detail. The strap is also adjustable so it can be worn over the shoulder and crossbody. (Although, I’ve found the crossbody length a little bit short).

The Milo Classic is available in several leather options. (The black leather Milo Classic is gorgeous!).

Overall, I think this is a really sleek, classic bag that can be dressed up or down. I also think the size is really nice. It’s a little bit bigger than some of my other crossbody bags but not too big that it’s overwhelming on my frame. But if you are looking for something smaller, the Milo bag also comes in a Mini Classique size and Micro Milo Size.
