A Sustainable Outfit ft. Christy Dawn, Sezane, and The Sak
One of my goals is to get back to sharing more outfits! When I started Jeans and a Teacup, it was a way to document my outfits daily. There really wasn’t a point to the posts except to share outfit ideas. While life has gotten more complicated and the blog scene has changed, I still love to share aesthetic photos of my outfits more than anything else. Here’s a sustainable outfit featuring Christy Dawn, Sezane, and The Sak!
Sustainable Outfit Details and Brands

This outfit is probably one of my favorites from the fall/winter so far. All the elements are there—texture, color, and layers. These are all newer pieces I picked up in the last couple of months but never really posted about—sorry!
Recent Sézane Fall and Winter Purchases
Sézane is one of my favorite brands because their clothes are beautiful and they are committed to sustainable practices. Sezane is certified B-corp and uses eco-friendly materials whenever possible. You can read more about their sustainability commitments here!
Hugo Parka
I was missing a hooded parka in my closet, so I decided to pick up the Hugo Parka. I loved that it had the checked lining of the popular Clyde Trenches but with a few more bells and whistles. It has an adjustable hidden cinch tie at the waist, large front bucket pockets in the front, an adjustable sleeve length, and a hood! And even though I picked this up in the fall, it works as a spring piece as well!
Sometimes, depending on the style, I like to size up to a 6, but since the Hugo Parka is already oversized, I went with my usual size 4. It definitely is roomy, but I like it like that! I chose the parka in Sand because I knew it would match any outfit. But Sezane just released the Hugo in a gorgeous green shade that I would have been tempted to get.

MATHEO TROUSERS
I can always count on Sézane to release a pair or two of corduroy or velvet pants. This year, the dark green shade of the Matheo Trousers caught my eye. They looked so comfortable too! I considered dark green a neutral color and these pants look great with a variety of different shades.
I’ve been between a size 6 and 8 recently in pants, and since sizing notes mentioned the trousers ran large, I took a size 6. They definitely fit me around the waist, and I couldn’t have sized up or down. But I found the area around my hips and butt to be a bit loose. I have the Martin Trousers in a size 8 and I like the fit of those better. The Matheo trousers are also LONG. I’m on the taller size and I still need to wear a high heel so they don’t drag on the ground.
FARIA SHIRT
I fell in love with the Faria Shirt when I saw those sleeves! I thought they would look so cute poking out of a sweater (or a coat, as you can see). I also appreciate that the fancy cuffs help make the sleeves longer. A complaint I have with some of my Sezane shirts is that I feel like the arms aren’t long enough. I took my usual size 4 since I wanted an oversized fit.
MONIQUE HIGH MARY JANES
I usually don’t opt for shoes with a heel over 2.5 inches, but I needed a pair to wear with my long Sézane pants! I thought the Monique Mary Janes were really cute and would match many of my outfits. Even though the heel is 3.5 inches, they don’t feel that high. Although I’m probably around 5’11” when I wear them! These look just as cute with a skirt as they do with pants. I found the Monique High Mary Janes run true to size.
Christy Dawn Sweater Vest
In my opinion, Christy Dawn is one of the leaders in sustainable style and ethical manufacturing. You can read more about their Farm-to-Closet initiative which gives back to the earth through regenerative growing processes.

After receiving the Illara Sweater earlier this fall, I knew I had to get another one. I loved the pattern on the Emmi Vest and thought it would be a versatile piece. I get a lot of wear out of this vest by layering it over different shirts and pairing it with various bottoms. It may be sold out right now but Sézane currently has a sweater vest that would work just as well!
I actually just bought another Christy Dawn sweater – the Linnea Sweater – and it didn’t disappoint! It is 100% baby alpaca like my other Christy Dawn sweaters and SO SOFT. It’s a relaxed fit and has a nice weight to it. It definitely feels like a quality sweater. The Linnea Sweater is still available!
The Sak Los Feliz Tote
The Sak is a brand I’m new to that is dedicated to sustainability. They are a certified B Corp and use premium leather sourced from the Leather Working Group. Their bags also incorporate recycled water bottles for the linings!

The standout accessory for this outfit is my Los Feliz Tote in Maritime from The Sak. I love how the soft blue compliments the other colors in my outfit. This bag has been in heavy rotation since I got it. The leather is buttery soft which gives the bag a nice drape. I also really like the contrasting brown leather handle. The Los Feliz tote is large enough to fit all of my essentials (including a laptop) without being too big.
