A Roundup of Christy Dawn Summer Dresses: Brynne, Antara, and Kaia Dress Reviews
In my opinion, summer is when Christy Dawn shines! I always look forward to the new prints and styles that are released in the summer, and usually end up getting more than a few new dresses. In the past month or two, I’ve been able to try three dresses – the Brynne, Antara, and Kaia dresses, so I’m sharing a quick review!
A Roundup of Christy Dawn Summer Dresses
Brynne Dress Review
The Brynne Dress is a Christy Dawn staple and one of the styles that’s been around season after season. It has many features that make up a signature Christy Dawn dress: an elasticized waist, adjustable neck and waist ties, and a cute puff sleeve. The Brynne dress is available in 6 prints, and I was really drawn to the Wild Berries print and the red ties – I love a red accent!

I like the Brynn Dress a lot because it’s very comfortable and easy to wear. The adjustability is also great – especially if you have a larger bust because the scoop neck can expand quite a bit. I’m wearing size small, which is my usual Christy Dawn size. But technically, I’m a size medium on the Christy Dawn size chart. Since most Christy Dawn dresses are stretchy and adjustable, I can wear my smaller size.

Overall, the Brynne dress is a classic Christy Dawn silhouette that offers ample adjustability. Be sure to check the description details of each pattern, though, because there are slight design changes across the prints. For example, this print does have a short skirt lining, whereas some prints don’t! The Brynne Dress is also available in petite sizes!
Antara Dress Review
First dropped in spring 2025, the Antara Dress is a newer style from Christy Dawn. It was love at first sight when I saw this dress. I first bought it last year in size small in a gorgeous blueberry print, which you can see here. But since I’ve gained some weight, I had to get this new print in a size medium. Not mad about it though, because this one is super cute too!

This is the first Christy Dawn dress I’ve gotten in a size Medium, so I would say the Antara Dress runs small in the bodice. The back does have smocking, but it’s very tight and doesn’t seem to stretch much. The waist seam is not elasticized or adjustable, which also makes it feel tighter. The neckline is adjustable and can expand significantly, though the cups are not particularly large. So if you have a larger bust, I would take your larger size or size up. The skirt is loose and flowy, so when choosing a size, pay more attention to your waist and bust measurements.
Just FYI, I wear a sticky-cup bra with this dress since it has very thin straps, which, by the way, are adjustable by the ties.

Kaia Dress Review
The Kaia Dress is also a new style this year, and was released in early spring. I was drawn to the relaxed silhouette and longer sleeves, which are different from most of my other Christy Dawn dresses. The patchwork print is darling, and I really loved the contrast gingham print necktie and cut-by-hand lace trim.

I’m wearing size small, and as you can see, it’s very size-friendly. I would pay close attention to the bust measurement, since the only thing you really need to worry about is the tightness around the bust. The necktie is adjustable, so you do have some wiggle room with size as well.

Sadly, this style is currently sold out, but the pattern is available on the Fabiana Dress! The Ambre Dress is another patchwork print dress with a similar relaxed silhouette.
Styling Christy Dawn Summer Dresses
Kin the Label Straw Hat
If you couldn’t already tell, I love styling my Christy Dawn summer dresses with my Kin the Label straw Bucket Hat. It’s stylish and practical, as the wide brim protects my face from the sun. I have several Kin the Label hats, and they are my favorite because they are adjustable with a hidden tie! So even though this hat is only available in sizes Medium and Large, I can make it tighter to fit my small head.

Print Mixing + Layers
I’ve found that it’s pretty easy to print mix with Christy Dawn dresses. They already give you hints within the dresses themselves – like the gingham tie with the patchwork print on the Kaia Dress. So I took a page from their book and added a pair of red gingham shoes with the strawberry print on the Brynne Dress. I also felt like the red gingham shoes tied in nicely with the contrast red ties on the Brynne. And while I didn’t photograph the Antara Dress with any mixed prints, the red gingham shoes would also look great with the red strawberry print.
And my favorite print mixing is the blue reversible print jacket with the patchwork Kaia Dress. The Lou Jacket is a previous style from Christy Dawn, so the color and prints work really well with other Christy Dawn pieces. But any quilted liner jacket or denim jacket would work too! And if you just want to try a little bit of print mixing, tying a scarf to your bag is a great option.
