A Menswear Inspired Outfit ft. Striped Sweater + Pleated Trousers
I love all my outfits but sometimes I put together a look that just feels 100% ME. This look would be one of those outfits. It’s comfortable, put-together, and makes me feel confident.
Sézane Striped Sweater
The first part of this outfit features my new Sézane Léontine Jumper. This is an oversized knit made from a heavy cotton, so it has some weight to it. It has a really nice drape to it and feels like the perfect stay-at-home sweater. You can see it in action in my latest Sézane Try-On Haul!
I usually pair my striped sweater with denim but decided to pair it with some comfortable trousers instead. And I’m so glad I did! The combo feels relaxed, yet polished.
These trousers are old from Banana Republic but they basically feature a high paperbag style waist, pleats, and a tapered leg. I got them in a tall size so that they were long enough for me to cuff (I’m 5’8″). I really wish I had gotten these in other colors – specifically black.
The finishing touch to my menswear inspired look is a pair of loafers. I love these 90’s loafers from Everlane. Sadly, they are a discontinued style. But Everlane is coming out with a new style loafer soon so keep an eye out!
I love that this pair is croc-embossed. I think it adds a nice texture to any outfit. Here are some of my other favorite loafer styles:
I wore this outfit for a day trip to The Huntington Library with my husband and two boys. I was super comfortable and felt like I could still chase after the kids in this outfit. I’ll definitely be wearing this on repeat!
