Last Saturday I had the opportunity to explore Downtown LA and Malibu – all in one day! My first stop was The Broad– LA’s new contemporary art museum. This was my second time going and it didn’t disappoint! I think my favorite part is the architecture of the whole building. And the inside is just as cool! I didn’t get as many pictures as I wanted because I was so caught up in all the “weird” art.
One of my favorite instillations was the “Double America” neon lights. I don’t know why but I could totally see this in my house or something…haha. My other favorite piece is “Under The Table“. It’s literally just a big table with chairs that you can walk under but I love it!
I highly recommend checking out The Broad. Just make sure to get your tickets now! It’s free but reservations fill up really fast. The next available tickets are in October.
My next stop was Glamifornia Style Lounge in Malibu. One of my blogger friends – Lily from The Chronicles of Chanel – was hosting a salon day so I thought I’d stop by! I mean, any excuse to go to Malibu and I’m in! The salon is super cute and right along the PCH (and the beach!).
While I was at Glamifornia I got some super sweet braids done! I really wish I was good at doing my hair so that I could rock this style more often.
For my day of running around DTLA and Malibu I decided to go simple and comfortable. That means Everlane to the rescue! The linen top kept me cool all day and my street sandals kept my feet happy.
