If you haven’t noticed – 90’s style fashion has made a comeback. I only wish I had been stylish enough in the 90’s to dress like this! I was going through my middle school years in the late 90’s and sadly I was totally devoid of any fashion sense. I also had no idea of pop culture or fashion trends and I totally missed the Clueless boat! So now, I’m making up for lost time and exploring 90’s slip dress style!
The minimalist in my was really drawn to the simplicity of the slip dress. I also love the black and white look created by layering it over a white tee. I chose to go with a midi length silk dress but you can wear this style in any length. You can even layer a white tee under a v-neck cami for the same effect!
To complete my minimalist, 90’s slip dress outfit I added my new black ankle booties! I’m seriously in love with these booties! The pointed toe and block heels are so sleek and they are the perfect height for wearing with cropped jeans (which I’m also really into right now). They are a little pricey but I definitely think they are worth the investment – black booties are a closet staple!
Another investment piece is this convertible backpack. All of the straps are removable so you can actually wear it three ways! As a backpack, crossbody bag, or tote! How cool is that?! It’s also the perfect size and definitely has enough room inside to hold all the essentials plus some. I went with black because it’s just so classic but I’m kind of wanting to get it in burgundy too. It’s so pretty and perfect for fall!
